Orlando Doughnut Guide 2025
DG Doughnuts - Ocoee
What to know: This is my top pick for doughnuts in the entire Central Florida area. The owner, Amanda Eubanks, is a seasoned baker. She graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, she's run her own bakery before, and she was previously the head baker at 4Rivers. She's legit.
Where it is: Located in Ocoee at 29 W McKey St, Ocoee, FL 34761
My favorite flavors: Nearly impossible to choose, but I love her banana pudding doughnut, cookies, and cream.
Sip n' Dip Donuts - St. Cloud
What to know: This modest mom-and-pop shop has amazing doughnuts worth the drive outside your bubble. They are best known for their variety, hospitable service, and having fresh doughnuts all day long, with both yeast and cake doughnuts.
Where is it: Near Downtown St. Cloud, off of 1-92, a few miles off the Florida Turnpike.
Favorite flavors: Strawberry Cheesecake, Blueberry, bacon maple, and old-fashioned with chocolate glaze.
Salty Donut - Audubon Park
What to know: This local to-Miami chain came to Aububon a couple of years ago, known for its fun flavors.
Where is it: 3025 Corrine Dr, Orlando, FL 32803, near the East End Market
Favorite flavors: I’m not a fan; these donuts have been consistently dry for me.
Donut King - Clermont/Winter Park
What to know: Donut King has been around for a long time; they are a Central Florida staple. They have two locations in Winter Park (on Howell Branch Road) and one in Minneola, off US 27.
Favorite flavors: My favorite flavors are the cherry and blueberry doughnuts and red velvet cake doughnuts.
Donutste Doughnuts - Pop Up/Delivery
What to know: This local business serves up only vegan doughnuts with no added preservatives. They are currently a pop-up and delivery concept but are working on establishing a brick-and-mortar location.
Favorite flavors: Hibiscus Citrus Glaze and Tiramisu Doughssant. They all lean on the sweeter side to me.
Dochi - Mills 50
What to know: These Japanese donuts are always light, so much so that you could eat more than one in a sitting without feeling too bad about it.
What is the variety like: They always have signature flavors like Taro Pebbles and Cookies and Dream, but their shop on E. Colonial near Mills rotates other special flavors.
TK Donuts - Longwood
What to know: The family that owns this shop, located in Longwood, has another location in another state, but they relocated to Florida and brought us this location. Not only does it have several styles of donuts, but it also has other pastries, as well as coffee and boba.
Favorite flavors: I've been here twice so far, and the donuts have been good both times. Nice and light and moist. My favorite item wasn't even a donut; it was the Guava Cream Cheese Doissant.
88 Donuts - Hourglass District
What to know: This shop just opened in the past month off Curry Ford in the Hourglass District. It’s a classic donut shop that also offers breakfast sandwiches, and they also have choices of fillings you can add to certain doughnuts. They are owned by the same family that owns King Donuts in Mt. Dora.
Favorite Flavors: I love a good cake doughnut that is moist, and I got both blueberry and red velvet, which had a great consistency.
VooDoo Doughnuts - City Walk Universal
What to know: VooDoo Doughnuts began in Portland, Oregon, and over the past decade, they have created a large following opening in several cities.
Where is it: It's located within Universal City Walk as you walk toward Hard Rock Live.
Kings Donuts - Mt. Dora
What to know: I’ve only been here once, but they had a pretty good selection of both yeast and cake donuts. Check their hours before you go, they aren’t open all day.
Address: 3301 County Rd 19A, Mt Dora, FL 32757
Bakery Plus - SODO Area
What to know: In their humble and unsuspecting location off Michigan, you'll find good doughnuts. They also have a drive-thru!
What are their hours: The early bird gets the best variety here. They open at 6:00 AM every day of the week except Sunday, closing at 1:00 PM.
Favorite Flavors: My go-to here is their sour cream old-fashioned doughnut. It's no frills but perfectly moist and sweet.
Donut Central - Winter Park
What to know: Part doughnut shop, part coffee house, Donut Central has a serious roaster on site so you can enjoy both in their shop at S.R. 436 and Aloma.
Donuts To Go - Sanford
What to know: Located in Sanford, this is a no-frills bakery with solid doughnuts. The prices here are very reasonable, and they have a great selection of flavors. On the weekends, they close at 2 p.m., so you have to hustle to get there before they run out or close.
Favorite Flavors: My go-to here is their sour cream old-fashioned doughnut. It's no frills but perfectly moist and sweet.
Doughlicious Donuts - Apopka
What to know: This is a brand new shop in Apopka, which has been a donut desert for a very long time.
Favorite Flavors: Sadly, I got a half dozen assorted donuts, and they were all dry except the crème brûlée doughnut. The staff was so lovely and welcoming. I was disappointed that I didn’t love the doughnuts, but I’m hopeful it was a fluke, and I may give them another chance at some point. But I’m happy local Apopkans have a donut shop now.
Parlor Doughnuts - College Park
What to know: Parlor Doughnuts is a nationwide chain with franchise locations, and ours is here in College Park. They are known for offering 20 different flavors of their Famous Layered Doughnuts.
Favorite Flavors: I don’t even have a picture of these donuts because I didn’t like them. They were so intensely sweet for my taste, and my donuts had gluey/gummy streaks in them when I tore them open. Other people seem to love them, though, so that’s just my personal opinion.
Donut Shops I haven’t made it to yet:
Oviedo City Cafe (previously known as The Donut Patch)- Oviedo
Shaka Donuts - South Orlando
Everglazed - Disney Springs
Mochinut - Chain with multiple locations
Master Homemade Donuts - St. Cloud
Shipley Do-Nuts - South Orlando (Google says it’s temporarily closed)
Javi Mini Donuts - Kissimmee
Coqui Snacks - Kisssimmee
Donut NV - Food Truck - Davenport
Bakeries that have Doughnuts
Chiffon Culture - Audubon Park/Winter Springs
What to know: This bakery has two locations, one in Audubon Park and the other in Winter Springs. There is a wide variety of Asian baked goods to choose from, including some viral items, such as the Cubed Croissant. However, their simple, light, and airy-filled donuts should get some well-deserved attention.
Buttermilk Bakery - Winter Park
What to know: This is a full-fledged family business and bakery. They began selling their goods at local farmers markets and now have one of the most beloved bakeries in the city.
When do they have doughnuts? Buttermilk only has doughnuts on weekends, so don't go looking for them
M'ama Napoli Italian Bakery & Deli - Winter Park
What to know: This Italian deli has some amazing sandwiches you need to check out, and then you can browse their sweets for after.
What types of doughnuts do they have? They have Italian doughnuts called Bomboloni, all of which have different fillings, such as pistachio, Nutella, or Bavarian cream. They are light and delicious.
Glass Knife - Winter Park
What to know: The Glass Knife is known for its pretty desserts and aesthetically pleasing cafe. They serve both cake and yeast doughnuts every day, starting at 7 a.m. until they sell out.
Favorite flavors: Sadly, none. I’ve never liked the donuts here; they have been dry and dense on multiple occasions.
Smoke and Donuts - Milk District
What to know: Yes, this is a BBQ restaurant located in the Milk District, but the husband and wife duo also have a passion for donuts, hence the co-mingling of smoked meats and tasty donuts.
What is the variety like? They offer a variety of flavors, including some that feature BBQ on top, such as the Lou (Maple-bourbon glaze, Heath, Hershey’s chips, and brisket burnt ends). However, you also have the freedom to create your own from their selection of toppings.
All doughnuts were paid for by me. Support your local businesses by visiting them. All opinions on these donuts are my own, but you should make your own determination of what you like.
