Haan Coffee

Haan Coffee is the newest shop to open in Orlando, but Haan is notable because it inspired and influenced by the owners Korean heritage. Seoul is known for having one of the most incredible coffee scenes in the world, and to get a small taste of that here in Orlando is a treat.

THE VIBE

Minimalist decor is the aesthetic, but with pops of color from the art of Suzie Shin. GDP Design Build has left its mark here, and you’ll see some similarities to design touches you may have noticed at Tori Tori and Light on the Sugar.

There is plenty of seating in this elongated space with tables and banquette seating lining the front area, where you get a little bit of sun-soaked glow from the E. Colonial facing windows, and more seating is found in the back area. There are two entrances to Haan, so whether you park on Colonial or behind the building off Shine, there is an entrance for you.

THE MENU

Your standard latte, Americano, and pour-over can be found on the menu, and they roast their beans, so if you like what you taste, you can grab a bag to take home.

I tried two of their signature drinks - Seoul Iced Coffee and the Endless Summer.

The Seoul Iced Coffee has a deep sweetness that I loved. It reminded me a little of Vietnamese coffee's strength and depth of flavor. The Endless Summer is on the opposite spectrum, bright and tart with espresso and elderflower tonic. Even though these drinks are so different, I loved them both.

If you aren't a coffee drinker, try the Strawberry Matcha.

It's important to note that all the drinks on the menu were under $6, which is quite a rare price point to see when most of us are getting oddly used to paying $8 for a latte.

There are a few food items to grab, but keep an eye out to see how that expands after the soft opening.

Haan is located at 1235 E Colonial Orlando, FL 32803 and will be soft opening Thursday to Saturday (12/1–3) from 7AM–7PM! Follow their IG for more updates at @haancoffeeroasters.
