Gatcha Orlando
Last year I was so excited about a new Japanese themed arcade that was opening in the Florida Mall - Gatcha USA. Since then the space has upgraded and expanded into a new space in the mall, and the transformation will make their loyal fans very happy.
WHAT’S NEW AT GATCHA
When you enter there are two large areas to each side of you. To the right there are banks of much larger claw machines stuffed with all sorts of recognizable plushies in all different sizes. There are also machines with smaller prizes like keychains and small boxed collectibles.
To the right you will notice a huge neon wall great for capturing a winning selfie, as well as tables and shelves of merchandise and collectibles for trade-ins.
In the back area you will also notice a playground/obstacle course that also has a ball pit.
How it works:
Pay upfront for a physical card full of credits. For ease to continuously add funds to a card you already have there are a few small kiosks in the front where you can add money to keep playing.
Each machine takes a quick swipe of your card for game play.
Some crane machines are the classic position and launch, while others have more strategy and are much harder.
New plushies are constantly coming in, and if you have your sights set on a larger plushie, that is where a trade can come in. Combine your smaller winnings to trade in for a larger prize.
Plushies vary from Anime, Sanrio, Pokemon, Nintendo, and more.
What makes this space better:
It’s much larger, so it’s easier to get around inside and have more space around you.
There are many more options at toys and collectible to either win or trade in far beyond plushies.
If you bring smaller kids who might not want to continue to play the games, they have the option of the playground area, but keep in mind it is timed by how much you pay.
GRAND OPENING DETAILS:
The Grand Opening will be on November 16th with the first weekend event featuring a JJK theme event!
This event will take place Nov 18-19 & feature special JJK item discounts & 30 free credits for those dressed up in JKK cosplay.
Following Grand Opening events will include Snack Machines December 2nd and 3rd, and Gatcha X Haan Coffee December 9th and 10th.
